Nicaragua will host the XVII China-Latin America and the Caribbean Business Summit

Starting this Monday, November 18, Nicaragua will host the XVII China-Latin America and the Caribbean (China-LAC) Business Summit, a space that will promote economic ties between the Asian giant and this region.
The meeting will be held for two days in Managua, capital of the Central American country, and will be attended by more than 220 delegates representing 29 countries; as well as 500 Chinese and Nicaraguan businessmen, Vice President Rosario Murillo reported, according to the Prensa Latina website.
“The Government of Nicaragua will host this summit, which is being worked on and has been working with the Chinese Council for the Promotion of Trade and Investment,” the vice-president told local media.
He pointed out that the vice-president of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Yang Zhen, and the president of the Council for the Promotion of International Trade of China, Ren Hongbin, will be present at the conclave.
“More blessings strengthening the capacity to work in security and peace among families in our Latin and Caribbean America,” said Murillo.
Under the slogan “Joining forces, creating opportunities, new horizons for China and Latin America and the Caribbean”, the event also includes a promotional session for the second China International Supply Chain Exhibition.
It is expected that the event will also address the advantages of interoceanic and multimodal transport between the Asian giant and the American continent and the Caribbean; innovation in the health sector and the construction of a solid base for medical collaboration with this region, among other issues.
