Nicaragua's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) registered a cumulative increase of 3.8% at the close of the third quarter of 2024, the Central Bank of the Latin American country reported.
According to the agency, the average annual growth of the national economy stands at 4.2%, according to the preliminary estimate in the original data series.
In the year-on-year comparison, Nicaragua's GDP grew by 1.9% from July to September. Meanwhile, when comparing this indicator with that obtained the previous quarter, an increase of 0.1% is reported.
The Nicaraguan Central Bank highlighted that the growth of the economy is explained “by the increase in the added value of construction, fishing and aquaculture activities, financial intermediation and related services, hotels and restaurants, and transportation and communications, among others.”
