The Vice President for Religious Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Nicolás Maduro Guerra, urged believing people to persevere their journey of faith.
From Plaza Bolívar, where the activity was held: The Last 7 Words of Jesus on the Cross, Maduro Guerra asserted that Venezuela is a blessed nation, full of devoted people and deeply believers.
He also argued that Good Friday is a day of reflection, of spirituality, of heart, of love. “God bless Venezuela, we are going to keep praying, asking for peace and union,” he said.
“It doesn't matter if you go to the seven temples, it doesn't matter if you're in the seven words, it doesn't matter if you celebrate Easter, it doesn't matter if you celebrate Mohammed, as long as God sees the nobility of your heart,” he said.
In that sense, he emphasized that as long as God sees that you care for the humblest, the one who needs the most, the humblest, the poorest, “he will bless you, he will bless your family, and this blessed land of Venezuela.”
