Nueva Esparta will host FILVEN from November 27 to 29

The state of Nueva Esparta is
getting ready to host the 21st edition of the Venezuela International Book Fair 2025
(FILVEN), which will be held from November 27 to 29 in La Asunción, as announced by Governor Marisel Velásquez together with the Ministry of Popular Power for Culture.
Under the motto “Reading humanizes”, the fair
will bring together 20 publishers, 15 of them regional and five national, as well as
a special international guest. The organizers emphasized that the event
reaffirms the commitment of the national Government to encouraging reading and cultural
participation in the island region.
The opening ceremony is scheduled for
Thursday, November 27 at 2:00 p.m. in the Augusto Fermín Room of the Casa de la Cultura de La Asunción, where the literary and artistic program will officially open.
The FILVEN will be deployed in five
key points of the city: the Central Library, the House of Culture, the House of
Diversity, the Birthplace of General Juan Bautista Arismendi and the Nueva
Cádiz Museum, with the purpose of creating a cultural circuit that connects the
community with diverse expressions of knowledge.
The agenda will include workshops,
theatrical presentations and talks aimed at readers, students and creators, with
the objective of strengthening literary exchange and promoting cultural formation.
The president of the Autonomous Institute for Cultural
Development of Nueva Esparta, Celmary Velásquez, invited the
population to join the day. “Don't miss this festival of knowledge
that drives new generations,” he said.
