The candidate for governor of the state of Nueva Esparta, Marisel Velázques, committed herself to the people of the “pearl of the Caribbean” and, after being elected next May, to revive the Special Economic Zone (ZEE) in that entity.

During the closing of the electoral campaign, Velásquez indicated that actions in favor of the recovery of the EEZ include the reactivation of the free port on the island. “This will generate direct and indirect employment for the inhabitants of this region,” he emphasized.

In the same way, he pointed out that in his administration, if elected, he will promote communal government working hand in hand with communal circuits.

He also stressed that he will work hand in hand with the National Assembly, with the Legislative Council to relaunch Nueva Esparta, recovered from the abandonment in which the management still in force had plunged it.

In this regard, he called on the revolutionary militancy to vote massively on May 25, so that the opposition leaves the governorate and can advance the development of the state.

“We are going to recover the governance of the state of Nueva Esparta to put it at the service of the people, producers, fishermen, farmers, entrepreneurs, artisans and all the sectors that make life in this State. Everyone has open arms to promote development, the prosperity of the island region,” he said.
