After a twelve-hour extension, the Bureau of Democratic Unity (MUD) registered with the National Electoral Council (CNE) the opposition Edmundo González Urrutia for the next presidential elections on July 28.

This was reported by Omar Barboza, the Secretary General of the Unit. “The candidate tap/guard position of the MUD is Edmundo González. The strategy is to try to replace him with a unit candidate or ultimately to adhere to an already accepted candidacy,” he said, according to information from Alberto Rod News.
