Opposition candidates exercise their right to vote and highlight the speed of the electoral process

This Sunday, May 25, the candidates and
leaders of the Venezuelan opposition came out to exercise their right to vote and
highlighted the speed and solidity of the electoral process that ratifies the democracy
that is being experienced in Venezuela.
In this regard, the candidate for deputy to the National Assembly, Henrique Capriles, asserted that “abstention is the road to nothing”, assuring that Venezuelans could regret it if they do not come to exercise the right to vote in these regional and legislative elections
The candidate for deputy to the
National Assembly, José Gregorio Correa, described this process as democratic and
peaceful, and also stated that the electoral center is the space for
reconciliation and understanding for all Venezuelans.
In addition, the Secretary General of Democratic Action,
Bernabé Gutierrez, specified that the electoral process has been carried out
excellently and in peace. “I hope that this is how the environment will continue until the
process is over and all Venezuelans will see the results,” he said.
Candidate Henri Falcón stated that
these elections represent democracy and real politics in Venezuela. In addition,
he reaffirmed the rejection of the call for abstention promoted by sectors of the right.
“I have never been an abstentionist (...)
I think this is a civic commitment in which we all have to participate,”
he said and called on all the people to participate actively in this electoral festival
.
In the same way, the candidate for the National
Assembly, Timoteo Zambrano, after exercising his right to vote in the
state of Miranda, reiterated the speed of the system. At the same time, he noted that the
exercise of this exercise has “a great nationalist sense”, being
able to settle differences between Venezuelans, in the interest of achieving political peace.
Likewise, the candidate for the governor of Anzoátegui by Primero
Venezuela and the Democratic Alliance, José Brito, highlighted the importance of electoral
participation after casting his vote in a process that he described as “extremely fast”.
For his part, the opponent Tomás Guanipa, stated that “voting is a tool to raise the voice, so that conscience can be expressed”.
All opposition leaders and candidates invited
the people of Venezuela to exercise their right to vote on
this election day, which is being celebrated throughout the country.
