Orientation day promotes the formation of communes in Caracas

Community Circuits of Caracas, came together in a review, orientation and support for the formation of the Communes, by the Ministry of Popular Power for Communes, Social Movements and Urban Agriculture.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister of Social Movements, Albanys Montilla, explained that the day is part of the consolidation of 200 organic communes in Caracas, within a total of 299 territories between communal circuits and communes.

He also noted that the 35 convened territories have made progress in renewing their communal councils and today they receive guidance on the formalization of their constituent charters, the structuring of their governing bodies, the creation of the Communal Parliament and the strengthening of the Community Bank.

For their part, the spokeswomen and spokespersons from the different territories shared the advances and challenges of their transition processes.

In this regard, the spokeswoman for the Municipal Independence Circuit located in the territorial area of La Pastora, María Chacón, stressed that they are one step away from consolidating as a Commune thanks to the work of the popular power of their territory.‎‎

He pointed out that the process has been long and thorough, since they carried out the renewal of the Community Councils, made the Founding Charter, and even made the election for the name of their commune.‎‎

In addition, Tatiana Martínez, from the Unity, Fight, Battle and Victory Community Circuit, located in Antímano, reported that they are in the process of renewing their voices as part of their transition to a commune. At the same time, he indicated that many people who previously showed indifference to communal dynamics, now want to join the spokespersons and Committees of the Community Councils.
