Padrino López: Imperialism has dared to threaten us militarily and we have responded with dignity

North American imperialism has practically declared war on Venezuela with the application of actions of economic persecution, blockades, sanctions, and unilateral coercive measures, said Defense Minister, G/J Vladimir Padrino López.

“Right now imperialism has dared to threaten us militarily and we are not indifferent, we are a country that has responded with dignity. In the country we see a high level of cohesion, articulation and awareness,” he stressed while assuring that “anything can be expected from the United States.”

In this regard, he called on the population to prepare for a possible military aggression resulting from the “irrational, anti-political, anti-human” way in which the United States manages itself.

In addition, in statements made this Wednesday, he stressed that these attacks by the “hegemon of the world” against Venezuela are due to the decision of our people to be independent and sovereign. “Beyond our resources, our Bolivarian project, sovereignty and independence, is a stone in the road for them. That's why they want to force regime change in the country, that's what's behind all this,” he stressed.
