This Friday, January 16, the
sectoral vice-president of Defense and Sovereignty, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, reaffirmed that the Bolivarian
Government activated a special commission to provide
comprehensive care for the families of the deceased and injured who acted in defense of the Homeland on January 3 in the midst
of the aggression of the United States (USA) against Venezuela.
During the Awards for Military
and Non-Military Personnel, he specified that this commission created by the president in charge,
Delcy Rodríguez, was formed to provide social, economic and institutional support.
He also indicated that it
also seeks to guarantee direct attention to families and to vindicate before
history the sacrifice of the men and women who defended the country.
In addition, he recalled that the instruction
was also given to erect a national monument in honor of the fallen, which is already
in the planning phase, including the selection of its location and the
symbolic design that will represent this historic episode.
The Minister for Defense also expressed
words of thanks and condolences to the families of the heroes and
heroines, highlighting the commitment and conviction with which they dedicated their
loved ones to the defense of the nation.
