Parties of the Great Patriotic Pole support President Maduro's candidacy for elections in 28J

This Wednesday, March 20, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, was proclaimed as the sole candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar (GPPSB) for the elections on Sunday, July 28.

This afternoon, the 10 parties gathered in the GPP support the nomination United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), which was presented last Saturday, March 16 from the Caracas Polyhedron.

The event includes members of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV), People's Electoral Movement (MEP), Patria Para Todos (PPT), Podemos, Tupamaro, Unidad Popular Venezolana (UPV), We Are Venezuela, Alliance for Change, Green Party and Authentic Renewal Organization (ORA).

The president of the PCV, Henry Parra, stressed that they support the Bolivarian Revolution and, therefore, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in his re-election, since “we communists are anti-imperialist, you are anti-imperialist”.

“You have followed the legacy of Chávez, when the world was talking about the bipolar world, nobody talked about imperialism and Chávez arrived, and there was talk of anti-imperialism again.”

Gilberto Giménez Prieto , president of the MEP, said at the Teresa Carreño Theater where he participated in the ceremony of the proclamation of the head of state, as candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole “Simon Bolivar” for the 2024 Presidential Election, he asserted that, as they have always done, this organization is on the side of the Bolivarian Revolution and its continuity.

Oswaldo Zamora, president of ORA, reiterated the intention of the followers of this political organization to remain in prayer in favor of President Maduro.

“We keep him in prayer so that the Almighty God will extend knowledge, wisdom and intelligence to the man who holds the reins of the Fatherland Zamora emphasized.

Ileana Medina, general secretary of PPT, reiterated Alfredo Maneiro's anti-imperialist and working-class struggles at a time when the fascist extreme right supported by the United States is trying to confuse the people.

William Benavides, Secretary of Organization of the tupamaro cadre party, assured that they will accompany President Nicolás Maduro in his fight against imperialism and for the Venezuelan people.
