A large march of the Peasant Movements flooded the main roads of Caracas, in defense of the popular will, and to demand the release of President Nicolás Maduro and First Lady Cilia Flores.

“As Venezuelans, as peasant people, we want peace, we don't want war, and to have our president Nicolás Maduro returned to us,” said a representative of the peasant sector in the state of Lara.

For her part, Margarita Peña assured that peasant women are at the forefront, “we are not going to rest until we have our president Nicolás Maduro back”

“On July 28, we elected Maduro as our President and we demand that the North American empire return him to us because they have kidnapped him; here the Bolivarian Revolution and our comrade president in charge Delcy Rodríguez do an excellent job, resisting and fighting,” he said.

Meanwhile, Arnaldo Villa affirmed that the Venezuelan people have no bombs or weapons, but they do have a great national conscience.

“Not only is Venezuela being threatened, so is Greenland, Colombia, Mexico, and if those peoples do not sow national consciousness, as Commander Chávez did and was developed by President Nicolás Maduro, they will be doomed to be slaves. We do decide to be free,” he added.
