The Secretary of Parliamentary Affairs of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Pedro Infante, extended an invitation to the People to mobilize this Friday to accompany the Long March commemorating the events of January 23 and to continue demanding the release of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro , and the first lady, Cilia Flores.

“The invitation is to the People, to march on this Patria Day, of mobilization and of demand for President Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores,” he said during a telephone contact with Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), in which he specified that the rally will begin at 11:00 in the morning.

He also explained that this activity will have two starting points: the first from Sucre Avenue, at the height of the Ali Primera Park, and the second from Plaza Morelos, located on Avenida México in the city of Caracas. Both marches will end at O'Leary Square.

Infante confirmed that the People of Venezuela are constantly mobilizing to denounce the military aggression of the United States (USA) against the nation, which occurred on January 3, as well as to demand the release of the national president and the first lady, who were kidnapped during these events in which all laws of international law were violated.

He also recalled that January 23, 1958 “was a popular, military and student rebellion; a rebellion of the people against a dictatorship”, from which important historical references such as Fabricio Ojeda emerged.

For this reason, he affirmed that the Bolivarian Revolution has assumed these dates as references for popular mobilization. “It's a day of Popular Rebellion, of the organized and courageous people,” he stressed.
