Plan Cacique Murachí remains deployed in Mérida in the face of the rains

With regard to the effects caused by the heavy rains that occurred in the state of Mérida, the Gran Cacique Murachí Plan remains active in the entity to serve the affected areas.

The governor of Mérida, Arnaldo Sánchez, said that efforts are being made to safeguard lives and assured that there have been no human losses so far.

In this regard, he explained that “the contingency plan is aimed at damage assessment, as well as terrain analysis (...) Together we are already working to guarantee the safety and life of every Meridian and every Meridian”.

Among the citizen security agencies mobilized in the entity are civil protection officials, firefighters, Bolivarian National Armed Forces, Bolivarian National Police, as well as members of the People's Power.
