PNB apprehended a member of the criminal group El Caracas (+Zulia)

Members of the Anti-Kidnapping and Extortion Division of the Bolivarian National Police (CPNB), stationed in the state of Zulia, were able to arrest a citizen for the alleged crime of extortion.

According to information published on the Telegram channel of the Ministry of People's Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), during the procedure, a grenade-type explosive device and a mobile phone were seized, which, after being subjected to forensic expertise, revealed direct links with the Structured Organized Crime Group (GEDO) El Caracas.

“The operational action was carried out in perfect coordination with tactical units, consolidating the institutional commitment in the fight against criminal networks that threaten citizen security,” the entity reported.
