Anzoátegui Police officers arrested nine people in Barcelona, Guanipa and El Tigre for selling dollars at a higher rate than that established by the Central Bank of Venezuela (BCV).
According to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Últimas Noticias (ÚN), eight men and one woman were arrested. In this regard, it was detailed that in the city of Barcelona, Ronal Antonio Hernández, who was engaged in the trading of foreign exchange in the historic center; and Carlos Javier Revanare were arrested for engaging in “illegal exchange” in the Light Source.
In the municipality of Guanipa, officials arrested two citizens for the crime mentioned above. “The procedure was carried out between Unión and Sucre streets in the Central II sector, when they were supervising establishments and peddlers who live an economic life in the Municipal Market and its surroundings,” ÚN reported.
While in El Tigre, specifically in the El Luchador Market, five people were arrested, thanks to the fact that officials were alerted to the fact.
