Police crack down on more than 7,000 pro-Palestine demonstrators in Rome

This Saturday, October 4th, more than 7,000 demonstrators who peacefully gathered in Ostiense Square in Rome, Italy, in favor of Palestine and Lebanon, were violently repressed by police officers to the point of creating riots.
According to information from Venezuela News, during the demonstration, there were strong clashes between the demonstrators and the police, who took out the water cannon to disperse the rally.
After these riots, at least 24 officers were injured and five people arrested.
Previously, the Rome Police had banned the demonstration, citing “public security reasons”.
