This Thursday afternoon, March 6, at the beginning of the prayer of the Holy Rosary for Pope Francis' health, the Vatican released an audio of the pope thanking the parishioners for their prayers for his recovery.
“I wholeheartedly thank you for your prayers for my health from the square, I accompany you from here. May God bless them and may Our Lady take care of them. Thank you,” the pope said in his convalescent voice through the megaphones in St. Peter's Square.
This is the first time that the voice of the Supreme Pontiff Francis has been heard since the beginning of his hospitalization at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome, since February 14, due to bilateral pneumonia. However, on several occasions the Holy See Press Office had announced that the Pope appreciated the prayers and expressions of affection and closeness, international press reported.
