Authorities of the Bolivarian Government and community spokespersons belonging to the Caracas-La Guaira Road Corridor, held an assembly this Friday, December 5, to verify the progress in each area of the projects proposed in the sector's Comprehensive Development Plan.
During the day, led by the vice president of Public Works and Services, Jorge Márquez, and the mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, the president of PDVSA Gas Comunal, Julio Rojas, reported on two fundamental axes of action to guarantee the supply of gas in the corridor.
According to a press release from the People's Power Ministry of Electric Power, the first project involves the installation of a temporary mobile filling plant, which is now fully ready, equipped with its electrical system and ready to start operations next Monday from the area's tank area. From that day on, the operations to provide the Community Councils will begin, with a supply frequency every three days.
The second axis is the execution of a structural and permanent solution, which involves the installation of a fixed gas filling plant in an already determined space, specially designed for this purpose.
The president of PDVSA Gas Comunal indicated that work on designing and equipping tanks is progressing satisfactorily, and requested the necessary logistical support for their installation. In addition, he highlighted the progress of the cylinder replacement program throughout the corridor, starting with the delivery of 750 cylinders to the Guaracarumbo Agro Technological and Ecotourism Community, the La Felicidad del Pueblo Commune and the Corazón de Chávez Commune.
In parallel, social infrastructure requirements are being identified, including food houses, health centers, educational and security institutions, to ensure the timely replacement of cylinders in these spaces.
