The president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, urged the deputies of the Venezuelan parliament to work to change the name of the Debt Law to one that more closely matches its intention and essence.

He commented that it should be called “Law of Commitment or a name that is more similar to his intention, which is to draw, from the point of view of the design made by the People of Venezuela, what will be the future of the Homeland in the year 2026".

After the participation of the Executive Vice President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez in this Thursday's session, the president of the AN commented that “we heard the vibrant expression of the People of Venezuela (...) if we could seek a positive balance to the aggression to which the People of Venezuela have been subjected in the last 150 years, we are now stronger, wiser, tougher and freer.”

In this regard, he added that another positive balance is that “we are stubbornly committed to the future of the Homeland with a real and recovered economy; with a recovered oil industry and a Homeland that is based on true democracy.”
