The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, held a working meeting this Saturday with the national economic team and authorities of the state financial sector to evaluate the sources of funding intended to immediately address the effects caused by the earthquakes of last June 24.

In addition, during the day, they reviewed progress in emergency infrastructure works, in addition to fully monitoring the axes of the National Economic Agenda, according to the Presidential Press.

The working group was attended by the sector vice-president of Economy and president of the Bank of Venezuela, Calixto Ortega; the vice-president of the administrative sector and of Digital Government and Minister of Economy and Finance, Anabel Pereira Fernández; the president of the Central Bank of Venezuela, Luis Pérez; and the Deputy Minister of Finance and Vice President of Finance for Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Cristian Hernández.

The authorities are addressing leverage mechanisms for urban reconstruction and social protection projects, with the objective of optimizing the execution of state resources in impacted areas.
