President in charge announced the first popular consultation for next March 8

‎La president in charge of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the date of the first popular consultation of the year 2026.

‎A through his Telegram channel Rodríguez specified that the date of this democratic modality, promoted by President Nicolás Maduro, will take place on March 7/8, when “projects for the transformations of economy and production, and human city, infrastructure, works and services”.

‎Asimismo, pointed out that during the current month the 2nd Obratón will take place, with more than 8,200 lists. In addition, he added that the “37% increase in resources for the year 2026, maintaining their 2025 distribution: 53% for Popular Power; 29% for governorates; 15% for mayors and 3% for institutional strengthening.”

‎Estas actions resulted from this year's 1st Federal Government Council, in which “we reviewed the Admirable Challenge 2026 and the lines of action to strengthen people's participation in public policies, based on collective well-being”.
