The president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, stated that currently “a new policy is being forged in Venezuela.”

This Thursday, January 15, in compliance with Article 237 of the Bolivarian Constitution of Venezuela, the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez, received the president in charge, for the accountability of the management of the Executive Branch during the year 2025.

In this regard, I ask the ambassadors and ambassadors, chargés d'affaires and diplomatic representatives accredited in the country to transmit to their capitals and to the world “the truth of Venezuela after an armed aggression from a nuclear power such as our history has never known, is an unprecedented aggression, although our contradictions are not unprecedented: our Monroe-Simón Bolívar contradiction is historic”.

The president in charge asked that “we should not be afraid of diplomacy (...) We are not afraid to face diplomatically and resolve this historic contradiction once and for all.”
