The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted this Thursday the country's sustained economic growth as one of the main achievements of the Government of the constitutional president, Nicolás Maduro Moros, in 2025.

During his Annual Message to the Nation, from the Federal Legislative Palace, Rodríguez highlighted that there have been “19 consecutive quarters of growth, which placed Venezuela in the lead as the first economy in Latin America and with a growth of 8.5% in the year 2025. A great achievement,” he said.

With regard to the energy area, he explained that, in the month of December, “PDVSA workers reached 1 million 200 thousand barrels of production”, and referred to the new Chevron model, which “is no other model than the one contemplated in the Anti-Blocking Law”.

Chevron has a production limit because it was not authorized by licenses, to commit fresh resources to investment, but rather to the profits and dividends they earned from production with PDVSA,” he said.

He also referred to the Productive Participation Contracts (CPP) for hydrocarbons, which also represent “a model that is provided for in the Anti-Blockade Law, and through this model, similar investments of close to 900 million dollars were achieved in the year 2025 and allowed to reach 1 million 200 thousand barrels of production.”

“It was the effort of domestic investors, of international investors based on this model,” he said.
