This Thursday, January 15, the president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, appeared before the Legislative Branch for the surrender of the Annual Message to the Nation and in it she urged the entire country that “no matter the political curtain, we have to go together as Venezuelans to defend sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity, our dignity and honor.”

In that vein, he pointed out that “enough of political classes that usurp what it is to be a politician to surrender to Washington's orders. We must preserve peace and do so with historic height and responsibility, there is no other way.”

He stressed that it is not a question that “the president is scared or threatened, all of Venezuela is threatened and that is why I call for national union so that, with diplomacy ahead of us, we can fight”.

She added that “if I ever have to go to Washington, I will do it standing walking, not dragged. I will do it with the tricolor flag, with the 'Glory to the Brave People' setting the rhythm of my heart. It will be standing, never dragging me, it will be standing is what corresponds as a Venezuelan”.
