This Friday, January 23, the president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, reported that the Bolivarian Government has so far released 626 people deprived of their liberty.

In that sense, he emphasized that “there are anti-politicians who have not understood the moment. There are sectors that persist in manipulating and maneuvering with figures, through lies, through falsification”.

From the Salón Sol del Perú, in the Miraflores Palace, where he led the installation of the Program for Coexistence and Peace, he announced that next Monday, January 25, he will hold a telephone conversation with the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk.

“I'm going to ask you to check the lists of those released from prison in Venezuela through your office. Enough of the lies, enough of lying to the Venezuelan people, it has led us to a very high cost for girls, boys, for our youth, for those who had to suffer the horror of external military aggression,” he said.

He insisted that there must be responsibility in the exercise of politics, “yesterday I called for the reinstitutionalization of the exercise of politics. Stop lying to our people through social networks, algorithms that seek to sow lies, violence, hate and death.”

“Our work must be very hard through education, culture, media, but there is also our responsibility to isolate those sectors of anti-politics that have led to extremism and fascism to applaud military aggressions against the country and applaud the economic, financial and commercial blockade,” he stressed.

He stated that “we are tired of extremists and fascists who only seek to harm the country. I no longer know whether to call them Venezuelans and Venezuelans”,
