President in Charge held a working meeting with the mining sector and basic industries

The president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, is leading a working meeting of the Mining and Basic Industries Engine this Monday, January 19, where she assured that a plan is being implemented aimed at increasing the production of gold and strategic minerals in the country, with the objective of encouraging the generation of foreign exchange in the nation.
“We were working on these plans with President Maduro last year. A gold plan for increasing the production of gold, iron, bauxite, strategic minerals for the industrial development of Venezuela and also for the generation of foreign exchange in our country,” he said.
During the meeting, the president in charge announced the reactivation of the Barquisimeto Steel Plant National Steel Complex, in Lara state.
During the activity, he announced the delivery of 60 bauxite trucks in the state of Bolivar, as well as the award of 90 homes to the workers of the Venezuelan Corporation of Guyana (CVG), within the framework of the Worker's City Program.
Rodríguez also reported on the comprehensive rehabilitation of the Sosa Méndez Mine, in El Callao, Bolivar state, to increase gold production in the country.
