The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, highlighted on Monday the growth in iron ore exports and coal production during the year 2025 and forecast a sustained increase in 2026.

During a working meeting of the Mining and Basic Industries Engine, from the Miraflores Palace, Rodriguez explained that iron exports, in the last quarter of 2025, “were the highest in the last 10 years, in the last decade, and with that path, we also expect with our own efforts an increase of more than 50% in the year 2026 and we also expect to receive domestic investment and international investment.”

He pointed out that this is the formula that President Nicolás Maduro spoke of, “it is the magic formula of how all the public and private sectors interact, paddling towards a single path that is the economic stability of Venezuela and the social happiness of our people.”

He reported that coal production grew by 260% in 2025, “and with our own efforts we are projecting growth of more than 100% by 2026".

“This is the path of Venezuela, the path where we preserve peace, where we consolidate economic stability, where we seek integration and social justice for the sole purpose of the happiness of the Venezuelan people, their social happiness, their economic happiness, but most importantly, the peace and tranquility of our people, guaranteeing a future for our boys and girls,” he said.
