The President in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, emphasized that in Venezuela there is no need to reinstitutionalize State institutions, since what is really necessary is for extremists and fascists in some political sectors to correct their way of exercising politics, it is a matter of “correcting at the root”.

He said this when responding to the country's extremist right, which insists on the reinstitutionalization of State institutions, in the Miraflores Palace, where he led the first Federal Government Council (CFG), together with regional authorities.

“Where it has failed and we must say so, is in the exercise of politics, because there are very, very vassal sectors of external powers, that are not thinking about national interests, because historically they have been projects committed to foreign interests and have turned their backs on Venezuela,” he said.

In this context, he recalled how the extreme right tried to impose a supposed president of Venezuela, who “was a deputy, has been one of the most ridiculous, artificial and burlesque pages in the history of Venezuela.”

He stressed that this is “the responsible exercise of politics, because in truth I think that reinstitutionalizing, there are quite a few institutions. Even Popular Power is institutionalized.”

In this regard, he highlighted as examples until recently there were 170 communal banks, currently 1,836, “we are growing in the institutionality of Popular Power, there is exercise, there are also mayors and governors, there is no vacuum there”.
