President-in-Charge leads the first meeting of the Federal Governing Council 2026

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, led this Wednesday, the first Federal Government Council (CFG), together with regional and local authorities who were elected in 2025, in order to establish lines of work that will contribute to strengthening the construction of a more robust communal state.
It is important to highlight that these actions are implemented within the framework of the Organic Law of the Plan for the Homeland of the 7 Great Transformations 2025-2031, whose central objective is to promote the creation of new consensus with the Venezuelan people, in order to achieve a higher level of national union and continue to build a Venezuelan power.
The CFG, which is made up of new members, appointed in mid-2025, has the purpose of coordinating policies and actions aimed at the development of decentralization processes, as well as the promotion of direct participation of the people, through popular consultations, for the execution of communal projects, stressing at all times the importance of basic structures.
In this regard, it is important to mention that the new members of this structure are Leonardo Montezuma, who is the Executive Secretary, ministerial representatives; the sectoral vice-president of Public Works and Services, Jorge Márquez, the Sectorial vice-presidency of Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health, Gabriela Jiménez, as well as the governors Víctor Clark, Jhoanna Carrillo, Alberto Galíndez, and the mayors Carmen Meléndez, Duque, Gustavo Duque and Gian Carlo de Martino.
The working meeting was held in the Bicentennial Square, where 335 mayors and the 24 governors participated in the working meeting, together with the People's Power, communal circuits, ministerial trains, and other authorities.
