The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during an activity with popular power, highlighted the importance of the date of December 8, when Commander Hugo Chávez, upon his return to a health operation in Cuba, delivered an epic speech calling for unity and absolute loyalty to the Bolivarian Revolution.

“Commander Hugo Chávez came from Havana to chart the future, an unforgettable day for everyone, and everyone has a memory, even when they were very young,” said the national president.

During his speech, he commemorated the Day of Love and Loyalty of Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías to his People, and the Absolute Loyalty of the People of Venezuela to their Supreme, Eternal and Resurrecting Commander.

He emphasized the imperturbable serenity and the courage tested by all the historical moments with which the Eternal Commander, with integrity and strength, gave serious news about his physical health, but at the same time, with the clarity of a prophet, he charted the collective course.

The sacred oath, oath of the soul and sacred commitment to follow “lovingly loyal to the original project of Simon Bolivar, resurrected for the 21st century by our unforgettable, beloved historical leader, Commander Chávez,” he quoted, was ratified.

The National President emphasized that that day history was marked, since the Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez was at the best moment of his political, strategic maturity, wisdom and capacity as ruler, leader and Commander in Chief. His leadership transcended borders, becoming the voice of dignity and rebellion throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

It was recalled that Hugo Chávez was the great founder of integration organizations such as the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR), the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America (ALBA) and PETROCARIBE, and that on an unforgettable date such as December 02 and 03, 2011, even though his health was affected, he showed dignity and sovereignty by founding the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

President Maduro sent a message to the Eternal Leader “Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías, here is your people standing, free and with a more rebellious homeland than ever. He concluded by reaffirming the call of the leader of the revolution: Commune or Nothing! , stressing that The Commune has become the great force for building a new society and democracy”.
