The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, specified that 153 days before the end of 2024, in this month of August, economic actions will be strengthened “so that this year will be the best in economic matters in a long time in Venezuela.”
He stressed that it is necessary to “put the rest into work, production, the improvement of indices, of an economy that has to be increasingly autonomous, independent and robust”.
In this regard, he highlighted that during the month of July, the Bolivarian Government granted more than 100,000 loans to the same number of entrepreneurs.
“Everything that is invested in entrepreneurship, everything, goes to industry and agribusiness, replacing imports, so that the entrepreneur does not have to buy imported,” he argued.
He stated that undertakings “are the secret weapon of this stage”.
This was stated at the National Council for Productive Economy and the Agroindustrial Sector, which was held in the Ezequiel Zamora Hall of the White Palace, where it was considered significant and valued that despite recent acts of violence in the country, the National Council for Productive Economy has positively followed its pace of work.
The head of state urged that the economy should never be converted back into a political battlefield, a scenario characterized by polarized blocs.
“I think this is the worst mistake that was made from 2001 to 2021 (...) the economy at the center of a diatribe, and if I was against the government and produced such a product, I would hide it,” he said.
