President Maduro announced that in three days more than 28,000 metric tons of food have been distributed

President Nicolás Maduro stressed that 28,655 metric tons of domestically produced food have been distributed between Thursday, Friday and Saturday alone.

Through a post on his Telegram channel, the head of state stated that products are being sold to communities with discounts ranging from 30%, 40% and up to 75% lower than market prices.

He pointed out that food is reaching more than 2 million 100 thousand families and more than 2,796 communes through various types of popular markets such as: Open Air Markets, Community and Peasant Supplies, Fish Fairs, The Mercal Network, Pedeval and Bodega Solidaria, among others.

In addition, the National President stressed that the country has achieved the goal of domestic production for supply, “consolidating a victory in the resistance.”

On the other hand, Maduro indicated that more than 47,000 Commands of Integral Bolivarian Communities (CCBI) are being constituted in democratic, free and sovereign assemblies. “These commands are the command, coordination and operation of the network of Comprehensive Bolivarian Base Committees (CBBI),” he said.

The Head of State emphasized that this structure guarantees the full functioning of the country in the 245,000 streets and in the more than 47,000 communities, with the objective that “the people continue to bless our beautiful, radiant homeland and we continue on a permanent offensive.”
