The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced this Tuesday the decision to take the remains of Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa to the National Pantheon, on January 15, when Teacher's Day is celebrated in the country.
“I was fortunate to know and talk at length with teacher Prieto Figueroa, and I learned about his concept of educational units (...) after Simón Rodríguez, the great sage of pedagogy, education, teacher Prieto Figueroa,” said the Head of State from the Miraflores Palace.
During a working day for the delivery of works recovered by the Military Community Brigades for Education and Health (BRICOMILES), the Dignitary emphasized that the National Pantheon “is where he should be with the heroes of Venezuela, the master liberator, the human teacher, our dear teacher Luis Beltrán Prieto Figueroa. Enter through the large door of the Pantheon next to the town, we'll take you there with special military honors, State honors.”
