President Maduro announces creation of the Universidad de la Música de Venezuela José Antonio Abreu

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced that he gave the order for the immediate founding of the José Antonio Abreu University of Music of Venezuela.

“The time has come for Venezuela to have a Higher Education House, at the highest level, that shines as bright as the Venezuelan National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs. The university of music was born in Venezuela,” said Maduro.

The announcement was made by the head of state, during the inauguration of the Expo Feria of the National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs, at the Teresa Carreño Theater (TTC), in the city of Caracas.

The National President emphasized that the House of Study must be the great university of universities.

He explained that there are three careers designed, the board of directors has to review them, study them. “It is a university that has to be born attached, tied to the 50-year experience of the Venezuelan National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs,” he added
