President Maduro announces José Antonio Abreu Music Museum Foundation

In the framework of the 50th anniversary of the Venezuelan National System of Youth and Children's Orchestras and Choirs, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced the founding of the José Antonio Abreu Music Museum.

From the Teresa Carreño Theater, in Caracas, where the Expoferia of the National Orchestra System takes place, the Head of State praised the legacy of Maestro Abreu, who “decided to sow in Venezuela, harvest in Venezuela, build in Venezuela and make Venezuela what it is today, a musical power that sets an example for the world”.

In this regard, he stressed that “the time has come to also found the Venezuelan Music Museum, the José Antonio Abreu Museum, where there is a good room to be able to exhibit the beauty that is so recognized”.

“It says one of Moses' commandments, 'love God above anything' and we could say, love your country, your history and your land above anything else too, so that you have the strength, the sacred flame that a man like this, José Antonio Abreu, had so that today 50 years later he is being honored by Venezuela and the world,” said the Dignitary.
