During his program With Maduro+, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, denounced that the plans to attack the United States (US) embassy in Venezuela would aim to provoke an escalation between the two countries that would lead to a war.
“It's a typical false flag operation, of provocation, to then make up the scandal and use the communication power they have in the media and social networks to blame the Bolivarian Government and begin an escalation where no one asks who did it and why they did it, but what you hear is the rattling of rifles,” he said.
The National President confirmed that in the face of this threat, the Venezuelan Government reinforced security measures for this diplomatic headquarters, in coordination with the security teams that the United States maintains inside the facilities of its diplomatic headquarters, which he recalled “it is U.S. territory, as dictated by international norms and treaties.”
He also announced that on Monday afternoon, the head of the Delegation for Dialogue for Venezuela, Deputy Jorge Rodríguez, officially informed the Government of the United States about this information, as well as details of those involved inside and outside the country.
“The investigation continues and today afternoon, Dr. Jorge Rodríguez officially informed the US Government about those responsible for this terrorist attack and they were informed where they are and they were told that we are after the search for those responsible who are in Venezuela,” he said.
He explained that the obtaining of the information was obtained by two reliable sources “one national and the other international”, so investigations were carried out until the reality of this terrorist plan was verified.
“Along the line of development, it was found that there was a very dangerous attempt, so we decided to act in time,” he said, while stressing that these actions are led by extremist sectors that seek a war confrontation between the United States and Venezuela.
“Who benefited from this terrorist action?” , questioned and revealed that the investigations suggest that this was requested and supported by a person “who will already be known because the investigations are in full swing”.
