President Maduro: Bolivarian Government continues to be attentive to emergencies generated by rains

This Friday, August 08, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reaffirmed that the Bolivarian Government remains attentive and deployed to respond to emergencies in real time, which may be generated by the current rainy season

“Mérida is fabulous and has recovered from the heavy rains in record time, tourists are already arriving,” said Miguel Montes at the Socialist Mission Base, in the state of La Guaira, where he led the launch of the Venezuela Ríe 2025 Community Vacation Plan.

In that regard, he recalled that on June 24, the intense rainfall in Mérida “created an emergency situation that we dealt with immediately, that's what we are here for, to attend to, resolve and act.”

“Mérida is already catching on with tourism arriving here and there. Mérida was isolated, all the roads fell down, all the contacts, through Trujillo, Barinas, through El Vigía, what was done was a miracle,” he said.

The head of state thanked the Merida working class, the businessmen and the perfect military-police-popular fusion, the governor and all the institutions that participated in the recovery of this entity for their support.
