The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said that the Brazilian Foreign Ministry is a “foreign ministry closely linked to the United States Department of States.”

This was stated in his program this Monday, October 28, With Maduro+, where he specified that “Itamarati has been a power within the power of Brazil for years.”

“It is a foreign ministry that we know well and that has always conspired against Venezuela,” he said and maintained that Itamarati has a long list of anti-Venezuelan actions, which go back to the independence era and continued during the Bolivarian revolution.

He said that “ Commander Chávez said that Brazil is the only country governed by a building: Itamarati. All foreign ministry training schools in Brazil were influenced by the North American empire. There is no official there who does not have ties with the State Department (...) Itamarati always conspired against Venezuela, since MERCOSUR, in fact he was the one who put up the obstacle to preventing us from entering.”

He added that Itamarati has a long history of conspiracy against Bolívar's homeland that “at this moment has been expressed again.”
