President Maduro celebrates Earth Day: Let's change the system! Let's save the Pachamama!

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, joined the celebration for World Earth Day this Tuesday, a date dedicated to raising awareness of the importance of protecting the planet and promoting collective action to face the climate crisis and promote sustainability.

Through his Telegram channel, the Head of State warned of “a real climate emergency at all levels, warming of the seas, the disappearance of species, major floods, droughts”, all driven mainly by the capitalist model.

“Capitalism has demolished, in the last 200 years, the basic balances of the planet, which is why peoples know that only through socialism can humanity be saved and its harmony with nature can be restored,” he emphasized.

In this regard, he pointed out that Venezuela is implementing “a plan to mitigate and face this climate emergency, and fight for the right to live, which translates into defending the future of our boys and girls. Let's change the system! Let's save the Pachamama!” , he said.
