The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, arrived this Tuesday in Kazan, Russia, to participate in the BRICS Summit to be held in the Eurasian nation from October 23 to 24.

“We are coming to this historic Summit. First time that a Venezuelan president has personally attended a summit of BRICS Heads of State,” the Venezuelan Dignitary said in statements to the media after disembarking from the plane.

He recalled that Venezuela has participated in the different meetings of the block “at the ministerial level, of foreign ministers, ministers of economy, ministers of communication, ministers of culture. We are already part of the mechanism, of this engineering of the multicentric and multipolar world that is being born,” he emphasized.

The Head of State stated that the Bolivarian nation will share the experience of the people's historical struggle, in addition to “our dreams, our hopes for a world without colonialism, without hegemonies, without imperialism, of a world where emerging superpowers can share with the countries that we strive from the Global South to independence, development and prosperity.”
