The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during a special edition of With Maduro+, assured that the Timon Coup proposed by Commander Chávez 12 years ago marked the course of the Bolivarian Revolution.
“We have returned to our roots, this model is ours, it is not imported and bequeathed by the Eternal Commander Hugo Chávez,” said the president, who on that date was appointed vice-president of the Republic.
“We commemorate 12 years of Commander Hugo Chávez's historic speech, known as the Timon Coup, delivered on October 20, 2012 during the Council of Ministers at the Miraflores Palace, which marked a turning point in the Bolivarian Revolution, establishing the foundations for a Revolution within the Revolution centered on efficiency and the transfer of power to the People,” he said.
