President Maduro congratulated the FANB for the success of Operation Lightning of Catatumbo 2025

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, congratulated the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) for the success of Operation Lightning of Catatumbo 2025, which has been carried out on the border with Colombia, from the state of Táchira to the state of Zulia.

In this direction, he assured that in the face of the extraordinary results, “I want to congratulate all the military personnel, all the militia personnel and all the people of the border, in the vicinity of this area of Catatumbo, for the absolute success of Operation Lightning of Catatumbo 2025".

“They have combed every area, combing the entire area by land, by air, by rivers, with all the deployment capacity of the FANB, which has advanced in its capacity for deployment, action and combination of efforts,” he said during the broadcast of the first broadcast of 2025, of his program “With Maduro +”, number 70, in its fourth season.

The head of state explained that the objective of this operation, which “is not the first time it has been done”, is to guarantee peace and territorial control, the presence of the Venezuelan State and the capacity for immediate action and reaction.
