This Friday, October 18, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, declared October 19 and 20 as non-working days of national joy, regarding the sanctification of Doctor José Gregorio Hernández and Mother Carmen Rendiles. This was stated during a tour of the City of Entrepreneurship in the Oscar López Rivera urban planning in Caracas.

The Head of State explained that Venezuela is spiritually mobilized “with regard to canonization as saints of our Catholic Church, saints of our people”

He pointed out that “we are raising prayers for the health of the people, for the family, for our life, peace and for this reason I sign the decree with which I declare Sunday and Monday of non-working joy throughout the country, so that all the people in a single prayer go out to celebrate this historic event of our Catholic Church”.
