This Tuesday, July 30, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, stated that his electoral campaign for his re-election to the first judiciary was one of peace despite threats from the extremist opposition sector.

He said that “I was a threatened candidate, but I decided to challenge the threat, I couldn't announce that I was going to any event in the country, because they had a group of hit men, these criminals who came out hunting me, to try to scrounge me.”

For this reason, he recalled that he toured the whole country, but he appeared in the communities without warning, “it came suddenly, but we did a proactive, constructive, philosophical and programmatic campaign”.

“They (extreme right) did not campaign”, referring to the fact that this opposition sector is committed to violence, he highlighted from the People's Balcony in the Miraflores Palace, where he received revolutionary political forces in the company of the Chavista people, who traveled from Petare, Catia, La Vega and El Valle to celebrate the victory and defend the peace of the Republic.

“I believe and have faith in our people, and I am certain that we will emerge from this, and we will emerge stronger, more united, more secure, since no one or anything will stop Venezuela's path,” he said.

He stressed that “we have already seen this film and it ends with the victory of the Noble People, with the victory of Peace, of the right to the future”.
