President Maduro: Detained mercenaries are showing signs of attacks on the country

This Monday on his show With Maduro+. the Head of State Nicolás Maduro reported that the detainees who are part of the extreme right wing that was recently dismantled in the country narrated “with bare bones ” everything that happened in December 2019 when an attack was carried out against the country with the support of the then president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro.

“December 2019, if I remember correctly, was supported by Bolsonaro when he was president of Brazil (...) they lent them the weapons, logistics to attack a military fort near Santa Elena de Uairen. There were dead and injured and a commission from the Bolivarian National Guard confronted him and then they fled to the border by helicopter from the Brazilian militia,” recalled the Head of State.

In his program this Monday, February 17, President Maduro stressed that “it was an armed attack on the Venezuelan army, on the country led by Jair Bolsonaro directly, I denounced that at the time and today those arrested in the operation have revealed everything that happened and how it happened with hair and marks”.

In this regard, President Maduro noted that if at any time the Brazilian authorities wanted to open an investigation, here are the captured people who lived in Brazil and they can tell where they lived, how much they were paid, how they were trained to attack Venezuela.
