The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated this Saturday the importance of combating fascism, highlighting the rescue of national and Latin American history.
“Speaking of history, history great and beautiful, living history, represented in our American art. We are in the protocol room of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,” he said from the Elliptical Hall of the National Assembly.
He stressed that this space is more than 150 years old as “the protocol room par excellence that has seen the course of history for three centuries. A good part of the 19th century, the entire 20th century and already the years that have passed in the 21st century”.
The Dignitary recalled that he was in that room 35 days ago. “I was with our people in these latitudes and beyond these latitudes here in this protocol room, the largest room that collects the history of our country, swearing that wonderful day of victory and history, January 10, 2025,” he recalled.
Maduro stressed that that day “the Fatherland was challenged and the Fatherland triumphed over the challenges of fascism. And peace triumphed and the Constitution triumphed. This beautiful room shines brighter today (...) it tried to be diminished by fascism that day. You have to be very ignorant to say that the protocol room of the Republic, which represents so much history, is a quartet of the National Assembly. No, it's not a box, it's the brightest room in the history of the last three centuries in Venezuela, of republican Venezuela. Imbeciles, ignorant and fascists,” he criticized.
In this sense, he stated that fascism must be crushed with the forces of humanity, of democracy, of truth”.
