President Maduro: For years the CIA has carried out several coups d'etat in Latin America

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, absolutely rejected the actions of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, to publicly authorize the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to carry out covert actions in Venezuela.

He asserted that for years the CIA has carried out several coups d'etat in Latin America, also assassinating the presidents of those nations where they committed these attacks.

The head of state emphasized the credibility of those who doubt foreign interference. “Can anyone believe that the CIA hasn't been operating in the country for 60 years? That you haven't conspired for 26 years against Commander Hugo Rafael Chávez Frías or against Nicolás Maduro?” , he highlighted.

“I just say our people are clear, united and very aware. It has millions of eyes and ears, and the ways for us to once again defeat this open conspiracy against peace and stability in Venezuela, and win peace and stability,” he stressed.

This was stated at the closing ceremony of the National Congress of Chefs and Chefs of the Homeland, in Plaza Bicentenario, in the Miraflores Complex, as part of the celebration for World Food Day.

He considered this action as an act of “macabre dishonesty” with the purpose of continuing to work in the psychological war against the Nation, seeking to frighten and divide citizens.

“Our people don't care about it; here the people are firmly united in defending the right of their homeland, their land, the truth of our Venezuela,” he said.
