This Wednesday, November 26, the
President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, held a meeting with the Japanese
architect, Riken Yamamoto, and his team, to whom he extended
his thanks for the reflections and proposals that emerged from the
World Neighborhood Symposium that took place this week in Caracas.
“I want to thank them because they managed to integrate
all the reflections, proposals and contributions in these two days (during the
Symposium) to continue strengthening the powerful community, community
and neighborhood movement,” he said.
He reaffirmed that this great movement is rising
“from the depth of the population, of the people, of the neighbors who
are taking more power in that concept that has become famous in the world, the
empowerment of people in the territory in the community, integral empowerment”.
He affirmed that this emerging empowerment
points to the reorganization of neighborhoods, economic,
territorial and political development and the construction of a new culture of
harmonious coexistence among the population.
