President Maduro holds meeting with Algeria's minister of energy and mines, Mohamed Arkab

Venezuela and Algeria strengthen bilateral relations

In order to strengthen bilateral relations, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, met with His Excellency Mr. Mohamed Arkab, Minister of Energy and Mines of the Democratic and Popular Republic of Algeria.

During the meeting, other aspects of cooperation related to the exchange of expertise and bilateral cooperation in the field of mines were addressed. They also reviewed the ongoing preparations for the 7th summit of heads of state and government of the Forum of Gas Exporting Countries ( GECF) scheduled to take place in Algiers.

Since 2000, relations between Venezuela and Algeria have been energized and strengthened with a series of working visits and presidential meetings that allowed for the deepening of cooperation in non-traditional areas such as telecommunications, and the conclusion of agreements in the educational, energy, diplomatic, political, communication, technical and cultural areas, among others.
